Since the opening of the Guadalajara International Book Fair last weekend in Mexico,  Brazil has become one of the highlights of the event, with an intense program of panels and author presentations.

Brazilian publishers have also gotten in on the action, with rights sales expected reach $200,000 during the event, and seventeen publishers have brought over six-hundred titles to present at the country’s stand. According to Karine Pansa, President of Brazilian Book Chamber: “Brazil is considered a giant in the publishing industry, but remains unknown in literary terms by most of its neighbors on the continent. The extensive program at FIL Guadalajara will allow us to introduce our editorial content to key decision makers in the Iberoamerican publishing industry.”
